Dynamic Deferred Deeplinking

Take both new and existing users to an app's deeplink destination with deferred deeplinking

Apsalar Dynamic Deferred Deeplinks allow you to serve customized content the moment your new users install and open your app for their first time.  This feature leverages Apsalar SmartTag capabilities, allowing you to dynamically serve one of multiple deeplink destinations, all using the same Apsalar SmartTag.  For example, If your shopping app has a promotion for a pair of shoes but doesn't have your app installed yet, you can serve an ad that will take your new users right to that product page.

To enable deferred deeplinks for your SmartTags, please make sure your app supports the following:
  • Your app must support deeplinks
  • Apsalar iOS SDK 7.2 and above, or Apsalar Android SDK 6.5 and above.  You can download our latest SDK here.
  • App must have implemented callbacks from the Apsalar SDK.  Check our technical guide on implementing this for iOS, or here for Android.
  • Enable deferred deeplinking for your desired SmartTag and Destination
Once your app supports the Apsalar SDK's deferred deeplinking solution, you can enable this feature for any of your Apsalar Destinations.  To enable a Destination for deferred deeplinking, simply check the checkbox beneath the "App Deeplink" as below:

Note: SmartTags with deferred deeplinking is supported for both identifier and fingerprinted clicks and is available for up to 6 hours after the new user has clicked.
