Setting up tracking for a Tapjoy campaign and sending downstream events to Tapjoy is easy with Apsalar's platform. Please use the steps below to configure your attribution tracking or event postbacks. If you have any questions, please contact Apsalar's Product Support Team.

Tracking a Tapjoy Campaign

  1. Generate an Attribution Tracking Tag for your campaign
    • Navigate to the Attribution Tracking page on your Apsalar account
    • Click the Create Campaign button
    • Enter your campaign information, selecting Tapjoy from the drop down list for the Campaign Source
    • Click the green check mark to save your campaign
    • Click the clipboard icon to copy the Attribution Tracking Tag
  2. Send the Attribution Tracking Tag to your Tapjoy representative and request your campaign's Postback ID.
  3. Setup a postback to notify Tapjoy of installs for your campaign:
    • Navigate to the Attribution Tracking page on your Apsalar account
    • Click on the Postback URLs tab
    • Click the Create New Postback button
    • On the resulting screen configure your new postback using the following settings:
      • Postback Recipient: Tapjoy
      • Application: Applicable application
      • Event Type: Install
      • Postback status: Active
      • Attribution Rules: Send all events from all sources
        • Please note, Tapjoy requires sending all installs for your application, not just those attributed to the Tapjoy campaign.
      • Tapjoy Postback ID: ID provided by Tapjoy
    • Click the Create Postback button in the bottom right to save and activate your postback to Tapjoy

Sending Tapjoy Downstream Events

To notify Tapjoy of events within your application, you simply need to conifgure a new Postback:
  1. Request the Postback ID for this event notification from your Tapjoy representative.
  2. Navigate to the Attribution Tracking page on your Apsalar account
  3. Click on the Postback URLs tab
  4. Click the Create New Postback button
  5. On the resulting screen configure your new postback using the following settings:
    • Postback Recipient: Tapjoy
    • Application: Applicable application
    • Event Type: Any Revenue Event, Any Engagement Event, or Custom Event
      • If Custom Event, then select the applicable event.
    • Postback status: Active
    • Attribution Rules: Send all events from all sources
      • Please note, Tapjoy requests sending all events of your selected type, not just those attributed to Tapjoy campaigns.
    • Tapjoy Postback ID: ID provided by Tapjoy
  6. Click the Create Postback button in the bottom right to save and activate your event postback to Tapjoy
