Criteo Integration Guide

Setting up tracking for a Criteo campaign and sending downstream events to Criteo is easy with Apsalar's platform. Please use the steps below to configure your attribution tracking or event postbacks. If you have any questions, please contact Apsalar's Product Support Team.

Setting up a Criteo Tracking Tag

  1. Generate an Attribution Tracking Tag for your campaign
    • Navigate to the Attribution Tracking page on your Apsalar account
    • Click the Create Campaign button
    • Enter your campaign information, selecting Criteo from the drop down list for the Campaign Source
  2. Send the Attribution Tracking Tag to your Criteo representative

Configuring Install/Re-engagement Postback

Criteo tracks installs/app-opens through their viewHome event.  Please see configuring custom events with Criteo to implement their required viewHome postback.

Configuring a Custom Event Postback

  1. Review Criteo requirements on Apsalar SDK implementation for various events here
  2. Setup a postback to notify Criteo of installs for your campaign:
  3. Navigate to the Attribution Tracking page on your Apsalar account
  4. Click on the Postback URLs tab
  5. Click the Create New Postback button
  6. On the resulting screen configure your new postback using the following settings:
    Postback Recipient Criteo
    Application Applicable Application
    Event Type Custom Event
    Event Dropdown (Your Event)
    Postback Status Active
    Attribution Rules All
  7. For the "Criteo Endpoint" value, Criteo recommends using an endpoint value of the region where your users are geographically closest to.  Please refer to the following table for supported endpoint values:
    Region "Criteo Endpoint" Value
    EMEA eu.criteo.com
    Americas sv.us.criteo.com
    APAC jp.as.criteo.com
    China hk.cn.criteo.com
  8. For the "Criteo Event Name" value, Criteo requires implementing events based on business vertical.  Supported event names and values are as follows:

Configuring a Revenue Postback

Apsalar revenue events can be reported to Criteo.  You can find our guide on implementing Apsalar revenue events here.
  1. Setup a postback to notify Criteo of installs for your campaign:

  3. Click on the Postback URLs tab
  4. Click the Create New Postback button
  5. On the resulting screen configure your new postback using the following settings:

    Event Type Revenue Event
    Postback Status Active
    Attribution Rules All
